Both of the Saskatchewan plants Plan It Packaging works with, one in Regina and one in Saskatoon, run powder and granular production, which puts different demands on packaging equipment than a liquid or solid food line would. Regina and Saskatoon are the only two cities in our Saskatchewan coverage, and neither one runs a second industry alongside powder and granular production. Dust control, consistent flow through the filler, and accurate weight on every bag matter more here than line speed on its own.
Auger fillers and multihead weighers are the equipment we lean on most for this kind of product, often paired with a VFFS bagger built to handle a fine or free-flowing powder without clumping or bridging in the hopper. The goal on a powder line is repeatable weight bag after bag, since even a small variance compounds fast across a full production run.
A Saskatchewan project opens with a free look at the product, the current filling method, and where accuracy or speed is falling short today. Equipment then gets sized to the specific powder or granular product, proven out on our own floor before it heads to Regina or Saskatoon, and backed afterward by setup, training, and ongoing support.
