San Diego anchors one of the country's densest craft-beverage corridors, a stretch of the Southern California coast home to more than 150 breweries, and we build packaging automation, mapped out on our food and beverage page, for the producers that keep that corridor running. One local brewery, founded in 1996, grew into the ninth-largest craft brewer in the country; another operates out of a 109,942-square-foot facility and provides contract canning and manufacturing services to other beverage brands, running someone else's product on its lines as often as its own. San Diego is also headquarters to a national seafood company, adding a cold-chain packaging dimension to the region's food and beverage base.
Order volume goes up, but headcount doesn't have to; our smoked-fish case study tells that story, and it's the same one playing out across San Diego's coastal seafood processors right now. You run the boats and kettles. We run the bagging and case-packing lines behind them. Our Mars Series VFFS baggers, specced out on our VFFS page, handle portioned and frozen seafood packaging for that cold-chain production, while our automatic case packers, walked through on our case-packer page, carton bottles and cans for breweries and contract manufacturers running multiple SKUs off the same line. Our California page fills out the rest of the region, and our solutions page explains what a project looks like from that first call to cans or bags running off a finished line. There's no PLAN IT office on the coast, but San Diego's breweries and seafood processors already keep us on for sourcing, integration, and service.
