Guacamole, avocado oil, and other avocado-based products carry Vista's name into kitchens well beyond North County San Diego, a legacy that traces back to 1923, when Vista Irrigation District water reached the hills east of downtown and turned dry ranchland into citrus, tomato, celery, and especially avocado groves. By the late 1940s, the city was promoting itself as the avocado capital of the world, and multiple packing houses built up around the harvest to sort, box, and ship the fruit. Vista's economy diversified into light manufacturing starting in the 1980s, and packaging automation buyers here now work across two different production lines: avocado and produce processors still running out of a century-old farming base, and a newer wave of breweries that has made Vista a real presence in the San Diego craft-beer scene.

That mix runs on two machine types we supply. Our Mars Series vertical form fill seal (VFFS) machine bags guacamole, salsa, avocado oil, and other produce-based product at the speed a modern avocado-packing operation needs, forming, filling, and sealing each bag in one pass rather than handling it in separate steps. For the craft-beverage side of Vista's economy, case packers box cans and bottles coming off a canning or bottling line as a growing brewery scales past what a hobbyist setup could handle. Two industries, one packaging line. Neither runs on the other's schedule, but both need the same equipment ready to go. We keep Mars Series machines in stock so a Vista packer isn't caught short between one avocado harvest and the next brewing run. When harvest hits or a new tank comes online, the machine is already on the floor.
