Charlotte's food and beverage manufacturing history didn't start with bottling. For years, the city's Ballantyne area was headquarters to a company formed by a 2010 merger that became, for a time, the second-largest salty-snack maker in the United States, running local snack-manufacturing plants until its operations were folded into an out-of-state snack company. That packaging equipment and workforce experience didn't disappear; it fed directly into the food-manufacturing infrastructure the city runs on today. Charlotte is now headquarters to one of the largest beverage bottlers in the country, a company operating 11 manufacturing facilities and 60 distribution and sales centers, with roughly 300 beverage brands moving through its network across 14 states.
We supply machines sized to this kind of packaging volume. Our Mars series VFFS baggers handle high-speed bag forming for snack and food products. Speed matters more than anything else here. Bottled or bagged product still needs to be cased before it ships, and our automatic case packers and case erectors do that at bottling-line speeds without slowing the run. For beverage and snack manufacturers running multiple SKUs through the same facility, our packaging line automation reduces changeover time between runs without sacrificing throughput. You run the bottling or snack line; we make sure the packaging equipment behind it keeps pace. PLAN IT isn't set up near Ballantyne or the Coca-Cola Consolidated campus, and Charlotte's bottlers and snack producers don't need us to be. They run our machines on lines built to match that kind of bottling volume.
