Coral Springs was chartered as a planned community in July 1963 with almost no industrial base of its own, which doesn't put it outside the reach of packaging automation. The city was built on land that had been marshy bean farms and cattle range. Manufacturing accounts for only about 7% of the resident workforce today, while education, health, and social services lead the local economy at 17.6%, followed by retail trade at 16.1% and professional and administrative services at 12.9%. Agriculture, forestry, fishing, and mining together make up just 0.2% of employed residents. There's no factory floor to speak of.
That doesn't make Coral Springs irrelevant to packaging automation. It just means the opportunity sits at the regional level rather than inside city limits. Coral Springs is part of a dense South Florida corridor of food, beverage, and consumer-goods companies and co-packers that ship product through the distribution networks its own retail and services economy depends on. Our Mars Series VFFS machines and automatic case packers serve exactly that kind of producer. One line forms and fills the bags, the other closes and seals the cases, and neither step adds extra hands to the process. You may not run a plant inside Coral Springs, but your product likely moves through it. One of our case studies shows how a food producer scaled production by rebuilding its packaging line around better equipment instead of more people, proof our solutions team points to when planning lines for other South Florida producers.
