Denton's manufacturing story starts with flour. Long before trucks and HVAC systems, one of the city's oldest manufacturers was a flour-milling operation, and it ran alongside an early printing and office-forms producer as part of Denton's original industrial base. That grain-processing history matters to packaging automation because milled and packaged dry goods are still exactly the product PLAN IT's Mars Series VFFS baggers and case packers are built to run.
That manufacturing base has only grown since. A national truck manufacturer keeps its headquarters in Denton, and an HVAC and cooling-systems manufacturer announced in fall 2024 that it is building a 200,000-square-foot plant here, expected to open in late 2025 and add about 200 jobs. Those plants compete for the same shop-floor labor a food or beverage line needs to run and maintain packaging equipment, and with truck and HVAC assembly already hiring machine operators in Denton, a system that needs less hands-on adjustment is worth more here than in a city without that competition. Our Mars Series VFFS baggers and automatic case packers are built for that kind of unattended run time, shipped to Denton without us keeping a local office here. Flour started this business. Machinery keeps it moving today.
