Grocery-aisle soft drinks, in cans and bottles familiar from checkout lines everywhere, come out of a beverage bottling plant in Mesquite with a workforce several hundred strong, one of the city's larger single employers. Casing that output at line speed is where PLAN IT's packaging automation earns its keep: automatic case packers box filled cans and bottles, and PackMaster cobot palletizers stack them for the truck without adding a second shift. Mesquite's roots go back to 1873, when the city was founded as a rail shipping point on the Texas and Pacific line, moving cotton, hay, corn, and sugarbeets out of the region, and that freight-and-production identity has carried through to today's food and beverage manufacturing base.
The manufacturing footprint keeps growing. A furniture manufacturer and a solar-panel producer each employ more than 1,000 people in Mesquite, and a new battery factory opened in 2025, adding another production line to the mix. The old Big Town Mall site, once the first air-conditioned shopping center in the country, is now a logistics center, and a national parcel carrier also runs a 1,000-plus-employee operation in the city. Furniture components, solar panels, and battery cells all need to move from production floor to pallet without manual handling, which is exactly what PLAN IT's PackMaster cobot palletizers and automatic case packers are built to do. We keep no office in Mesquite, but our team supplies the equipment directly: our Texas location page, our food and beverage industry page, our VFFS machine category, our automatic case packer lineup, and our full solutions page.
