Warren still makes what it has made for generations: vehicles and defense equipment, produced inside some of the deepest manufacturing infrastructure in Metro Detroit, the kind of industrial base where packaging automation fits naturally. A major automaker's global engineering and design campus has anchored the city since 1949, and a truck-assembly plant that opened in 1938 has run continuously for more than 85 years. That plant still runs. An Army tank plant based in Warren built a quarter of the Sherman tanks the U.S. produced during the Second World War and kept building armored vehicles until 1996. That depth of manufacturing history left Warren with a workforce fluent in automated, high-tolerance production, and several industrial parks from its 1960s and 70s growth boom remain active in its southeast neighborhoods today.
That same manufacturing depth is exactly why packaging automation fits here. PLAN IT packages what comes off those lines at the same tolerance Warren's automotive and defense plants already expect from their own vendors. PLAN IT has no building in Warren; we supply the equipment those plants would run instead: automatic case packers for moving finished product into shipping cases at line speed, and PackMaster cobot palletizers for staging and stacking pallets without adding a crew to do it. Mars Series VFFS baggers cover the same ground for hardware, fasteners and other small parts that need bagging before they ship. A plant built inside a metro this dense with heavy manufacturing does not tolerate downtime any better than an automotive supplier does, and PLAN IT's equipment is built and serviced with that standard in mind. The Michigan location page and palletizing category page go deeper on our regional fit, and the Mars Series VFFS and automatic case packer categories detail the machines themselves, alongside the full lineup on our solutions page.
