Yonkers sits at the southern end of the Hudson River's historic manufacturing corridor, and packaging automation for today's pet care producers there is running on ground that heavy industry built first. The city started as a farming town shipping peaches, apples, potatoes, oats, and wheat down the Hudson to New York City, until water power turned it into a manufacturing center. A factory on the river produced the world's first safety elevator design in 1853, launching an entire industry from that one site, and a carpet mill nearby grew to forty-five buildings, eight hundred looms, and more than four thousand workers, becoming one of the world's premier carpet-producing operations. When World War II arrived, both plants converted output: the carpet mill turned to tents and blankets, and the elevator plant built tanks. After the elevator plant closed in 1983, a rail-car assembly operation moved into the same building in 1986, keeping the site in continuous manufacturing use.
Our RotoBagger premade-pouch machines and Mars Series VFFS baggers fit that same kind of retrofit, built to run inside older industrial buildings without a full facility rebuild. If your plant sits in one of those Hudson River-era buildings, you don't need to gut the place to modernize the line. Pet care manufacturers producing dog treat packaging or pouched pet food get high-speed bagging without the footprint a legacy plant can spare. Older buildings weren't built for that. You know what a bag of dog treats needs to survive the shelf; we know how to build the line that gets it there. The vertical form fill seal and premade-pouch category pages spell out the equipment specs, and the New York location page and pet care industry page add the regional context. The solutions page covers how we take a project from inquiry to installed line. We don't run a storefront on the Hudson in Yonkers, but our service territory covers Westchester County regardless.
